RCMP charge two females
On February 4, 2022, at approximately 3:40 a.m., St. Albert RCMP responded to a call of a suspicious idling vehicle in a parking lot on Sir Winston Churchill Avenue. Police located the vehicle, which had a stolen licence plate attached to it. Both female occupants in the vehicle were arrested and officers located numerous stolen items and approximately 26 grams of a controlled substance, believed to be methamphetamine.
Danika Nowak (24) of Stony Plain, Alta. and Emelia Zimmer (24) of Spruce Grove, Alta. were both charged with:
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
- Identity Theft
- Theft of a Credit Card
- Possession of a Controlled Substance
Danika Nowak and Emelia Zimmer were held for a Judicial Interim Hearing and were released by a Justice of the Peace with conditions. Their next court date is February 28, 2022, in St. Albert Provincial Court.
