RCMP Drug Unit investigation leads to an arrest
In the Fall of 2022, the St. Albert RCMP Drug Unit, with the assistance of the St. Albert Crime Reduction Unit, started a Methamphetamine and Fentanyl trafficking investigation. On November 4, 2022, the drug investigation led to the arrest of Eric Angers (42), a resident of St. Albert.
Eric Angers was charged with:
- Possession for the purpose of Trafficking Methamphetamine
- Possession for the purpose of Trafficking Fentanyl
Eric Angers was also wanted on the following outstanding warrants:
- Canada Wide Parole Warrant
- Trafficking Methamphetamine X 2
- Possession of Property obtained by Crime
As a result of the drug arrest, the outstanding warrants were executed. Eric Angers was remanded in custody and will appear in St. Albert Provincial Court on January 9, 2023.
