RCMP Drug Unit investigation leads to numerous drug & weapon charges (with hoto)

In the Spring 2023, the St. Albert RCMP Drug Unit started a drug trafficking investigation involving Ryan Kovacs (27), a former resident of St. Albert who currently resides in Edmonton, Alta. It was determined through the course of investigation that many of the drug trafficking offences took place in St. Albert, Alta. Subsequently, an arrest warrant was issued for Ryan Kovacs for the below charges:

On October 19th, 2023, St. Albert RCMP, with the assistance of Edmonton Police Service, executed a search warrant at Ryan Kovacs’ residence and vehicle in Edmonton, Alta., where the following items were seized:As a result of the search warrant, Ryan Kovacs received a number of additional charges including: Ryan Kovacs was located and arrested in Saskatchewan, remanded in custody and will appear in Alberta Court of Justice in St. Albert on November 6, 2023.
