RCMP charge male with robbery

On January 28, 2021 at approximately 7:15 a.m. St. Albert RCMP responded to a Break & Enter in progress in Deer Ridge subdivision, where a home owner discovered an unknown male in their garage rifling through the cabinets. The male suspect saw the home owner, approached and threatened them with a wood saw, demanded their car keys. The male fled the scene in the home owner’s vehicle.

Through an extensive investigation, utilizing RCMP Forensic Identification Services, RCMP Digital Forensic Services, St. Albert General Investigation Section, St. Albert General Duty and in collaboration with Edmonton Police Service, the male suspect was identified.

Bo Brandon Blackwood (26) of Spruce Grove, Alta. was charged with Robbery While Armed with an Offensive Weapon. Bo Blackwood is in custody and scheduled to appear in St. Albert Provincial Court on August 30, 2021.
