RCMP Arrest Shoplifters

On March 10, 2024, St. Albert RCMP engaged in a Retail Crime Blitz in our city during the evening hours. St. Albert RCMP officers are aware that retail crime is increasing and is a growing problem for local businesses. With consultation of Loss Prevention Officers, St. Albert RCMP targeted high retail crime locations with the goal of identifying and arresting individuals engaged in retail theft and deterring repeat offenders.

Seven arrests were made during the evening, resulting in:

Of these arrests, 1 individual was a youth, and 6 were adults. The total value of items recovered as a result exceeded $1000.
