RCMP arrest two females for trafficking methamphetamine
On May 17, 2022, at approximately 8:10 p.m., an off-duty St. Albert RCMP officer reported that they had almost been struck by a vehicle which ran a red light on Ray Gibbon Drive. A member on duty spotted the vehicle in question, a grey 2003 Audi A4, driving northbound on Northridge Drive. The officer followed the grey Audi, activated their emergency equipment, and attempted to stop the vehicle. The vehicle attempted to evade police by turning onto Natalia Way, then onto Nemo Terrace and pulled into a drive way of a residence. St. Albert RCMP got behind the grey Audi parked in the driveway and instructed both occupants of the vehicle to exit.
The female driver, Amy Actimichuk (37) of St. Albert, Alta was arrested and charged for:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – methamphetamine
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
- Flight from Police
- Operation of a Motor Vehicle while Prohibited X 3
- Fail to Comply with Release Order Conditions X 7
The passenger, Cheyenne Smith (26) of St. Albert, Alta was arrested for outstanding warrants and was also charged with the following:
- Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking – methamphetamine
- Fail to Comply with Release Order Conditions
Amy Actimichuk and Cheyenne Smith will appear in St. Albert Provincial Court on June 20, 2022.
