St. Albert students paint the police car for Pride Month (with photos)
Over the last two weeks you may have seen some very colourful RCMP vehicles around the city. The St. Albert RCMP Community Policing Unit attended two public schools to assist in Pride Month celebrations and engage with students in a positive manner. Students from Kindergarten to grade 6 were excited to participate in “Paint the Police Car for Pride Month” in which students colored their hands with different color paints and left handprints on the cruiser.
While the students participated in the fun activity, members spoke with the youth about showing kindness to everyone, respecting others and that every person is important. This activity with the Police Car is a fun reminder to practice kindness to everyone every day of the year, while positively engaging with police officers.
