RCMP Drug Unit arrest two individuals (with photo)
In early January 2022, the St. Albert RCMP Drug Unit (SADU) began a drug trafficking investigation into an individual(s) believed to be selling cocaine. On February 10, 2022, St. Albert RCMP Drug Unit (SADU), with the assistance of the RCMP Emergency Response Team (ERT) and St. Albert General Duty members, were able to locate and arrest two individuals outside the Canadian Brewhouse restaurant located in the south end of St. Albert.
Zahra Al Nemesh (23) of Edmonton, Alta. was arrested and charged with the following:
- Trafficking a Controlled Substance X 5
- Proceeds of Crime X 4
George Ishiekwene (22) of Edmonton, Alta. was arrested and charged with the following:
- Trafficking a Controlled Substance
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime
St. Albert Drug Unit seized the following items:
- Canadian Currency - $900.00
- 3 cell phones
- Powder Cocaine – 63.24 grams
- Crack Cocaine – 2.11 grams
- Fentanyl – 6.12 grams
Zahra Al Nemesh and George Ishiekwene were released from custody on an Undertaking and will appear in St. Albert Provincial Court on March 28, 2022.
