RCMP charge 7 youth with violent offences

On November 28, 2023 at approximately 3:30pm, St. Albert RCMP responded to a call of an assault in progress outside the McDonalds at 369 St. Albert Trail. Further calls were received to the RCMP reporting weapons were involved and individuals were running from the area. St. Albert RCMP responded quickly and were able to locate the victim as well as arrest numerous suspects in the surrounding area.

The investigation revealed that the victim had been physically assaulted and struck with a baton while having property stolen from him. The victim was transported to the hospital with minor injuries and released from the hospital the same day. Several of the suspects had ran from police but were apprehended. Seven youth, all who reside in Edmonton, have been charged with the following offences:

Two Youth were charged with:One Youth was charged with:All youth were placed on conditions not to contact the victim and not to attend that McDonald’s location. Other conditions for several of the youth was not to possess any weapons. The first appearance for all the accused youth is March 5, 2024. The St. Albert RCMP have had several inquiries from the public as a result of this investigation, however are unable to release further information due to the age of the persons involved.
