RCMP Remembrance Day March (with photos)
On November 11, 2024, members from St. Albert RCMP detachment took part in the City’s Remembrance Day ceremonies. The well-attended event started at the St. Albert Legion and concluded at city hall. A total of 18 police officers from St. Albert and nearby detachments participated.
Staff Sergeant Dwayne Moore said, “It is important to recognize the tremendous price paid throughout our history so we could enjoy the freedoms we have today. In an increasingly digital world, I believe it is important to experience and participate in these things wherever possible, because those authentic experiences can often be the connective tissue of our social fabric. Many Canadians gave their lives in service to Canada, and we as the RCMP are grateful for the opportunity to participate in events like this. Thank you to everyone who came out, and thank you to the organizers and the many groups we marched with. This is a delightful community”.
