RCMP investigate pedestrian motor vehicle collision

On September 27, 2022 at approximately 8:30 a.m., St. Albert RCMP responded to a single vehicle collision involving a pedestrian. The motor vehicle was making a left turn onto Bellerose Drive from Boudreau Road and struck a pedestrian who was crossing in the marked crosswalk at the intersection of Boudreau Road, walking northbound. The pedestrian was transported to hospital by ground ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.

St. Albert RCMP want to remind drivers now that fall is here, the days are getting shorter and the sun is rising later each day. Drivers need to be mindful of this (the sun may be in driver’s eyes) and remain vigilant of their surroundings. Pedestrians also need to make sure they are visible to drivers at all times and make eye contact with drivers whenever possible before crossing intersections/roadways.

The collision is still under investigation.

St. Albert RCMP encourage the public to report any criminal or suspicious activity. Reports tell us where to look, who to look for, and where to patrol in the future.
