RCMP Seeking Information About Hit and Run

St. Albert RCMP are seeking the assistance of the public to identify two vehicles involved in hit and run collisions on Akins Drive on Tuesday evening, February 26, 2019 at approximately 11:00 p.m.

On that date and time, a 52 year old male resident of St. Albert, fell while crossing the street on Akins Drive near the 7-11. While the man lay on the street not moving, a dark coloured truck that was driving northbound on Alpine Boulevard ran over the man and continued driving. A short time later, a dark coloured vehicle, possibly a SUV, that was driving southbound on Alpine Boulevard also ran over the man and continued on without stopping.

It is possible that the drivers did not realize what they ran over on the road, but it is important that the two drivers contact the police about these two collisions.

The 52 year old male resident is recovering in hospital.
