RCMP charge 2 individuals related to a theft over $5000

On October 7, 2020 at approximately 3:30 p.m., St. Albert RCMP responded to a Costume Shop in Tudor Glen regarding a theft that had just occurred. Investigators learned that an entire display case of costume contact lenses had been stolen. The lens were valued at approximately $7000.

The St. Albert Crime Reduction Unit (CRU) assisted with the investigation and on October 22, 2020, with the assistance of the General Investigation Section (GIS) and General Duty members, executed a search warrant at an address in Edmonton for the stolen mechanise. The search of the residence recovered the following items:

• The stolen contact lenses
• 3 firearms
• Methamphetamine
• Fentanyl
• GHB

As a result of the investigation Dallas Scott (42) and Victoria Fairbairn (36), both from Edmonton, are facing numerous charges including:

• Theft Over $5000
• Possession of Stolen Property Over $5000
• Trafficking in Stolen Property under $5000
• Possession of a Firearm with Tampered Serial Number
• Possession of a Controlled Substance X 3
• Unauthorized Possession of Firearms X 3

Both individuals are scheduled to appear in St. Albert Provincial Court on December 21, 2020.
