RCMP Respond to 3 Vehicle Collision, Charges Laid

On May 2, 2021, at approximately 7:30 a.m., St. Albert RCMP responded to a 3 vehicle collision at the intersection of St. Vital and St. Albert Trail. The collision occurred in the northbound lane on St. Albert Trail, where a Dodge Durango rear ended a Toyota Camry which then struck a Ford Focus. The Toyota Camry and Dodge Durango sustained extensive damage and were inoperable.

The driver & passenger of the Toyota Camry were transported to hospital by ground ambulance with unknown injuries and the lone occupant (driver) of the Ford Focus did not sustain any known injuries. The driver of the Dodge Durango fled on foot but was followed by a witness who was not involved in the collision. The witness was able to provide police with updates as to where the fleeing driver was running and St. Albert RCMP were able to locate & arrest the driver of the Dodge Durango without incident.

The driver is scheduled to appear in St. Albert Provincial Court on June 14, 2021.
