RCMP charge male with aggravated assault

On May 20, 2021, St. Albert RCMP responded to a complaint at a local dry cleaning business where an employee got into a verbal disagreement with a customer over past services and unpaid bills. The customer attempted to leave the business without paying for his clean clothes thus the employee tried to stop him. The customer assaulted the worker and ran out of the store without his clean clothes.

The employee sustained multiple injuries to his face and head and required surgery to repair the damage.

Through the course of the investigation, St. Albert RCMP were able to identify the male who assaulted the employee as Jonathan Robinson (37) of no fixed address. Police were unable to located Jonathan Robinson thus a warrant for his arrest was issued.

On June 7, 2021, Jonathan Robinson was arrested in Devon, Alta. and charged with the following:

Jonathan Robinson was remanded into custody and will appear in St. Albert Provincial Court on June 23, 2021.
