St. Albert RCMP-Theft from vehicle-suspect arrested

On Friday, January 17, 2020 at approximately 1:30 a.m., St Albert RCMP responded to a complaint at 190 Carleton Drive St. Albert. Police were advised by the security company that a suspicious male was observed trying to open a vehicle’s door, and crawling under vehicles.

While on route Police were updated by the security company that the male was departing the area and getting into an escape vehicle. The suspect vehicle was located and the occupants of the vehicle were arrested. A vehicle search located several tools commonly used in catalytic converter thefts such as: reciprocating saws (sawsalls) with multiple blades, head lamp and grabbing tools. A small quantity of drugs was also located in the vehicle.

Skyler Morneau, (31), of Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta was charged for:

Bail hearing was held and Skyler Morneau was released to attend court on February 3, 2020 in St Albert.
