RCMP arrest a male for drug & weapon charges (with photo)
On November 5, 2023 at approximately 7:40 p.m., St. Albert RCMP received a complaint regarding a suspicious person who was passed out in a vehicle parked at Value Village. Members responded and located a black Nissan Maxima parked with the driver’s door wide open. A male was observed laying across the front seat with his legs hanging out of the vehicle and his body slumped backwards towards the front passenger seat. Officers managed to wake the male, who displayed signs of drug impairment and erratic behaviour.
The male was identified as Nabil Abdulgany (34), a resident of Calgary, who had an outstanding Canada Wide Warrant and was on conditions not to posses any weapons, and not to possess or be under the influence of any intoxicating substance including drugs or alcohol.
Nabil Abdulgany was arrested. Incidental to arrested the vehicle was searched and the following items were seized:
- Gerber Stainless Steel Pocket Knife
- Camillus Stainless Steel Fixed Blade Knife
- Samsung Cell Phone
- 84.74 grams of suspected Methamphetamines
- 51.68 grams of suspected Heroin
- 99 tablets of suspected Xanax
- 252 tablets of suspected TEC
- 43.46 grams of suspected Fentanyl
- 202.59 grams of suspected Cocaine
- 1410 grams of suspected GHB
- $290.00 Canadian Currency
- Infyniti Scale
- Stainless Steel Flask
- Drug Paraphernalia
Nabil Abdulgany was charged with the following offences:
- Possession of a Controlled Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking X 4
- Possession of a Weapon for a Dangerous Purpose
- Fail to Comply to Release Conditions X 2
Nabil Abdulgany was remanded in custody and will appear in Alberta Court of Justice in Morinville on November 30, 2023.
