UPDATED: RCMP participate in back to school stuff a cruiser
Update 2025-08-18:
St. Albert RCMP’s first “Stuff a Cruiser With School Supplies” was very well received. On August 14, 2025 at St. Albert Walmart, thousands of miscellaneous school supplies were donated by the general public and stuffed into the RCMP cruisers for distribution to local School Divisions.
“St. Albert RCMP are incredibly grateful for everyone in our community, and those from outside our community, who came together to ensure that every youth gets to start their school year off with new gear and supplies. The generosity of the community coming together for the youth is incredible,” says Cst. Rachel Glendenning.
Original Release 2025-08-06:
On August 14, 2025 between 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, St. Albert RCMP, in partnership with St. Albert Walmart, are hosting a Back to School Stuff a Cruiser event supporting St. Albert students. St. Albert RCMP will be setup at St. Albert Walmart accepting school supply donations for the fall.
Back to School Stuff a Cruiser is an event where citizens can donate new school supplies and/or gift card donations to ensure all St. Albert students have school supplies this fall. The RCMP Cruiser will be parked outside the St. Albert Walmart, hoping to stuff it full of donations, which will be dropped off to St. Albert School Divisions, to distribute to students in need.
Citizens can also drop off unused school supplies from past years or binders that are like new/gently used.
“Community is important to the St. Albert RCMP and helping those in need by coming together to raise awareness and support families is essential,” says Cst. Rachel Glendenning.
