RCMP arrest male for theft
On January 18, 2025, at approximately 10:35 a.m., St. Albert RCMP received a complaint of a theft in progress from Walmart. It was reported that a male was seen putting multiple boxes of sports trading cards into his backpack and exited the store without paying for the merchandise. The police were also informed that the same male was seen on video surveillance, on two separate occasions earlier in the week, stealing sports trading cards as well.
The male suspect was walking east through the parking lot when RCMP members arrived and he was arrested without incident.
Rich Saah Anderson (18), a resident of Edmonton, AB, and was charged with three counts of theft Under $5000 and is scheduled to appear in court on March 3, 2025, at the Alberta Court of Justice in St. Albert.
Total value of the sports trading cards stolen in the three separate thefts was just over $4900.00.
